Oh hello W(backwards E)LL PPL, also known as W3ll People! Despite the awkward number in your name, we still love you.
So, let’s get to it: setting powders. Uff. This is a category of makeup that I love to hate. Is it really necessary to put yet ANOTHER product on? Toners, serums, sunscreens, moisturizers, primers, foundation, blush, bronzer, AND setting powder?!?! In the case of this product, I have to say YES!
This product is advertised as a “baked brightener” but since no one knows what that means I’m going to refer to it as a setting powder.
I don’t use setting powders. Nope. Can’t stand another crusty powder drying out my already dry skin. Nor will I be enthused about a ghastly white cast over my face. But, but, but!! W3ll People seems to be one step ahead on all of this. Zero dryness. Yup, no more Dried Up Lake Bed Face (DULBF). And, more miraculously, no white cast. (Gasp).
I love using this over liquid foundation. It does an amazing job of smoothing and blurring – without emphasizing pores. Bonus points for the baked formula! This makes the powder itself feels extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear. I don’t notice much of a highlighting/brightening effect but rather, a lovely soft matte finish. You’ll love this if you want an airy, luminous smoothing over literally anything (or nothing!) underneath.
W3ll done, W3ll People!!
